Psychotherapist Specializing In Couples Therapy Reveals How To

COMMUNICATE EFFECTIVELY WITH YOUR PARTNER WITHOUT EXPLOSIVE CONFLICT OR WITHDRAW

...And How To Talk About Important Issues And Strengthen Your Connection, While Navigating Triggers From the Past

Do you find yourself grappling with relationship conflicts?

Maybe you're doing alright but want to improve your communication skills to strengthen your bond.

Or you could be dealing with persistent challenges that keep escalating into intense arguments, leaving you unsure of how to handle the situation.

No matter where you fall on this spectrum, I have something to offer you.

I've created a practical, actionable workshop inspired by the latest research on couples' conflicts.

The skills taught in this workshop can be helpful in improving communication and strengthening relationships. Our approach is grounded in evidence-based research and our goal is to provide practical, actionable insights that can make a real difference.

Think of conflicts as a fracture that affects relationships, much like how a bone fracture affects the body. Just as a cast is required to mend a bone and prevent further injury, a structured approach is necessary to reassess the conflict and address any past event that may be triggering it. By doing so, the healing process can begin, paving the way for a healthier relationship moving forward.

So I build a structure around conflict - how to have conversations that are less prone to spiraling out of control. Even if things do get out of hand, I'll guide you on how to get them back on track.

I'll also explore the role of personality in conflicts and how understanding your different ways of interacting with the world can help prevent future fights...

This workshop is for you if you want to deeply connect with the person you love.

In this workshop, you’ll discover the most common mistakes people make that turn a conversation into a fight.

You’ll also get practical tips for how to recognize when a conversation is going south and how to move the conversation back to a constructive space away from hurtful things like guilt-tripping, avoidance, appeasement, sugar-coating, or trying to convince yourself it’s “not a big deal”.

And you’ll discover how the blend of your personalities uniquely sets you up for certain kinds of conflicts.

Lastly, you’ll know what to do when you feel like you’re in gridlock and having the same fight over and over...

My approach is inspired by the latest research in couples therapy, an evidence-based personality model, and years of experience working with couples in my private practice.

THE TOOLS WE'LL DISCUSS ARE DESIGNED TO EMPOWER YOU TO...

  • Communicate what matters to you without explosive conflict or distance
  • Diffuse conversations that blow up into arguments
  • Increase intimacy, respect, and affection
  • Break down barriers that leave you feeling stuck or stagnated
  • Build more warmth and understanding into your relationship

This workshop is meant to open new doors of communication that were previously closed off. Even if you are just looking for more tools to help make you a more effective communicator, you’ll love the Couples Workshop.

To help you decide if it’s for you…

Why Do I Need A Workshop Like This?

This workshop is for anyone who wants to communicate better with their partner and enjoy a more loving relationship. It will empower you to talk about what matters to you without falling into explosive conflict or withdrawal. It’s for couples, however, you’ll find these principles helpful in repairing other types of close relationships – such as with a child, a parent, or a family member. The ‘Understanding My Trauma Workshop’ focuses on how trauma can negatively affect the development of the brain and how it can predict major negative health outcomes. Matthias will provide you with tangible and practical daily routines designed to untangle the effects of trauma on the body and repair the damage.

The ‘A Free Mind: Trauma Workshop’ looks instead at how trauma psychologically shapes the way we view the world and ourselves, how the things we do to protect ourselves often reinforce bad habits and keep us stuck. Matthias will offer you step by step tools to help increase your autonomy over that story and allow you to regain peace of mind.

How Can You Help Me Improve My Relationship? And Can't I Just Find This Stuff Out Of My Own?

My goal in sharing these tools and frameworks is that it will open doors to a more honest and loving exchange without putting your partner on the defensive and bring you closer together. The workshop is a synthesis of the latest research organized together with my own unique approach to couples’ counseling. So you won’t find this information anywhere else.

Do I Need To Share Anything Personal?

No. This product is a recording. You won’t be expected to publicly process trauma during the workshop.

My goal is for this to be a safe space where you can learn concepts around trauma therapy that’ll be helpful to you on your journey. However, there is an opportunity to engage in processing personal content in the workbook!

The advantage of it being a recording is you can pause to take breaks if you need to.

Is This Like Therapy?

No. It’s designed to provide useful context to facilitate more understanding between partners and let you better express what matters to you. It would be an effective companion alongside couples therapy but is not meant to take the place of therapy.

If I’m Already In Couple's Counseling, Will This Help Me?

Yes! This workshop is meant to give you added context and tools you need to approach that experience with more confidence. This doesn’t mean it will be easy but I believe it can help tremendously.

Does This Workshop Talk About Affair, Addiction, Or How To Navigate Partners With Childhood Trauma OR Extreme Mental Illness?

While this workshop gives you the foundational tools you need for effective communication in each of these circumstances, it does not address these circumstances directly.

Will I Get CEU's For Attending this Course?

No. This is just for personal development and does not include therapist level training on couples’ interventions.
